The Smiths had a busy today. Mrs. Smith left very early but she left some notes for the members of the family. Everybody was busy with his/her householding duties. Jane cleaned the carpets and did washing up. She also help her father to do shopping. Mum told Tommy not to forget to make his bed and to feed the parrots.

Mrs. Smith asked her husband to do the shopping. She also told him that Mrs. Brown had invited them to dinner.

We all are very friendly and helpful. So we always share household chores.

I am going to tell you about my householding duties. I try to help my parents but when we need to fix something, we ask Dad to do it.

I always make my bed and do washing up everyday.

I tidy up my room twice a week. But I never iron clothes, I dislike it. My mum does it. I never water the flowers. My sister does it. She likes her plants.

I like cooking. Sometimes I help mum to cook something tasty.

It’s wonderful to do something with your own hands.

I am sure that doing housework will give me good experience for the future.
